We are a group of bicultural marketing and technology professionals with experience building and measuring digital communications for Fortune 1000 companies, government agencies, and non-profit organizations.

Our work connects brands with the $1 trillion U.S. Hispanic market to build recognition, increase sales, and drive revenue. To accomplish that, we leverage today’s digital platforms to create culturally intelligent solutions that visually explain products, market services, and engage customers.

Our Story

Spanish Media started as a class project several years ago at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Back then, a group of MBA marketing students had the idea of using the Internet to help companies reach, service, and market the U.S. Hispanic market.

The University of Chicago Booth School of BusinessUpon graduation, we all took jobs with consulting companies, ad agencies, and start-ups. Spanish Media was an exciting concept that we would undoubtedly implement . . . some day.

Fast forward almost a decade. We got back together again! After years of talking, planning, and strategizing, it seems like some day is finally here.

Now in 2011, our goal hasn’t changed: We help brands get closer to the U.S. Hispanic market by using digital channels to deliver valuable, targeted, and relevant messages to U.S. Hispanic consumers. There are more than 30 million people in the United States looking for online content and service in Spanish. We combine creative thinking, technology, and an exceptional knowledge of the U.S. Hispanic culture to help you reach them.

Why in Spanish and Why Interactive?

Marketing to U.S. Hispanics is nothing new of course. Truth is, companies have been doing it for over 20 years using TV, print, and radio. The problem is that to this day, those are the exact same three channels even leading brands continue to use.

And yet the U.S. Hispanic market has changed. It has evolved, gravitated towards online media, embracing it like no other ethnic group in the country:

The purchasing power of U.S. Hispanics is approximately $1 trillon, estimates the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis. In the last decade, the US Hispanic purchasing power has grown at triple the rate of the overall US population, making it the fastest growing consumer segment in the nation.
According to comScore, there are over 30 million Hispanic Internet users in the U.S. That is more than the number of people online in Spain, or in Mexico, Colombia, and Venezuela combined.
U.S. Hispanics do more, buy more, and spend more time online than any other demographic group in the country. eMarketer calls the Internet “a mainstream medium among US Hispanics.”
