Spanish Media Introduces EspanolDigital.com

What is Google Translate (and Other Videos)

Today we are proud to announce the launch of our first project as an agency: EspanolDigital.com.

A little background is in order. The main goal we have as a company is to promote and facilitate the use of digital communication channels to market and service the U.S. Hispanic market. By “digital communication channels” by the way, we mean interactive avenues such as websites, email, Facebook, Twitter, etc.. We decided to take it one step further though.

Are you familiar with the Khan Academy? It’s a wonderful website where people all over the world go to learn about math, science, industry, and a great deal of other subjects. A key component of the website is the use of video tutorials to teach the lessons. Well, we were truly inspired by this concept and decided to start our own Khan Academy… in Spanish… and about computers.

EspanolDigital.comSo, let’s say a Spanish speaker Internet user is not familiar with Twitter. Maybe another one is looking for a way to use Google Translate, or post a picture in Facebook, or learn how to use an RSS reader. Where to go, where to go? Well, now there is EspanolDigital.com: a place where users will be able to visually learn how to use the most popular Web services and software packages. The content is all in Spanish and explained in a way that is easy to understand. We don’t talk about IP addresses, encryption, and Content Delivery Networks. We use analogies, everyday scenarios, and familiar situations.

We are just getting started with the website and don’t have an enormous amount of materials posted yet. It’s a step in the right direction, however, and we are ok with that.
